We're settling in Lebanon

We made it! I get excited everytime I think about our new destination. Yet, five minutes later the anxiety sets in and I'm off googling maps, grocery stores and checking to make sure my there is an American/International Women's Group nearby. It is a crazy life we lead! For all of you who don't know here's a quick recap.

May 2003, 5 days before graduation at Drake University I fell in love with an amazing man. We courted all summer until he left for his first year playing basketball overseas in Austria. I thought, groupies and long distance was not something to be interested in. It all changed the day I extended my stay because I just couldn't allow myself to leave. That year Greg came home for Christmas (and planned out engagement in the upcoming Summer).

July of 2004 we traveled to Vegas to visit some family friends and, before I knew it, we were engaged in front of the Bellagio Fountains. Wohoo! the man of my dreams, a lifestyle full of international traveling and luxury...or so I thought.

Fast forward to our current day and we now have 9 countries under our belt, a darling baby boy born in Dubai, puppy from Hungary and a home in Minneapolis, MN. And, I must not forget Happy Hour Mom.

HHM was born in Dubai when two women met amongst this crazy lifestyle. Shannon and I bonded through learning about family blogging and Internet obsessing. As you will learn the priorities of being an international basketball wife quickly gets thrown to the backburner. Yes, we did sign up for this, but neither one of us expected to endure the craziness we've seen the past few years.

Happy Hour Mom is our place to release all of our creative pent-up agressions and share them with the world. We know that it is hard for moms to find outlets in the land of luxury. Now try finding solice and any unknown land. Enjoy a glimpse into our crazy world of chaos and add our families to your prayers who have to witness it all whether they want to or not!

WELCOME TO LEBANON!

Celebrating Christmas in Jounieh, Lebanon with our great friends. (We lived here four years ago, as well)

No one judges a boy with a pink kitchen here! This year Baby D received a ton of great gifts. Of course, his favorite is the Mickey Mouse basketball hoop. Can a love for basketball run in our blood? I'm convinced it's possible.

My lover boys after a big win again Antranik. My superstar hubby had 25 points 11 rebounds this game!
